Finbe — Unified Terms of Use & Privacy Policy

Effective date: 22 October 2025

This Unified Notice combines our Terms of Use (contract that governs your use of Finbe) and our Privacy Policy (how we handle personal data). If any part must be read separately due to your local law, treat each section as a standalone policy.

“Finbe”, the website finbe.net, and related web software and services (“Service”) are operated by System Elements FZ-LLC, FDRK4288 Compass Building, Al Shohada Road, Al Hamra Industrial Zone-FZ, Ras Al Khaimah, UAE ("Company", “we”, “us”, “our”). Contact: info@finbe.net.

Part A — Terms of Use

  1. 1) Acceptance

    By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

  2. 2) Eligibility

    You must be at least the age of majority in your place of residence (and in any case not under 16) to use the Service. You may only use the Service for lawful purposes.

  3. 3) Your Account & Security

    You are responsible for your account and for keeping your login credentials confidential.

    Passwords are hashed and salted using industry-standard methods. We do not store plain-text passwords and cannot recover them; password resets create new credentials.

    You must notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.

  4. 4) What Finbe Does (and Doesn’t)

    Finbe is a personal finance data manager. It helps you record and organize transactions, accounts, categories/tags, budgets, cash flow, and related information.

    • No professional advice. Finbe does not provide financial, investment, legal, accounting, or tax advice; outputs are informational only. You are solely responsible for decisions based on the data you enter.
    • Finbe is not a bank, broker, payment service, or money transmitter. The Service does not move, hold, or invest money.
  5. 5) Plans, Fees, and Trials

    We may offer free or paid plans and trials. Any pricing, features, and billing terms shown at purchase time are part of these Terms. Amounts are non-refundable except where required by law.

  6. 6) Your Content & License to Us

    Ownership. You retain all rights to the personal finance data and other content you submit (“User Content”).

    License to operate the Service. You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, back up, and display User Content solely to provide and support the Service (including security, troubleshooting, analytics, and improvements related to your use).

    You represent that you have all rights necessary to submit User Content and that it doesn’t violate law or others’ rights.

  7. 7) Acceptable Use

    You will not:

    • misuse or attempt to interfere with the Service;
    • reverse engineer or attempt to access the source or underlying data models except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by law;
    • use the Service to store unlawful, harmful, or infringing content;
    • use automated scraping/crawling except as allowed by our robots or by written permission;
    • circumvent access controls; or
    • use the Service to build a competing product.
  8. 8) Intellectual Property

    The Service (including software, UX, and branding) is owned by the Company or its licensors and is protected by law. No rights or licenses are granted except as expressly stated.

  9. 9) Third-Party Services

    The Service may interoperate with third-party services (e.g., cloud hosting, email delivery, analytics). We are not responsible for third-party terms or policies. Your use of third-party services is at your option and subject to their terms.

  10. 10) Availability; Changes; Beta

    We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service or features (including beta/preview features) with reasonable notice where practicable. Beta features are provided “as is” and may be withdrawn.

  11. 11) Term; Termination

    You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach, unlawful use, or risks to the Service or others. Upon termination we will close your account; see Privacy Policy – Data Retention & Deletion for how we handle stored data.

  12. 12) Disclaimers

    THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that data errors will be corrected.

  13. 13) Limitation of Liability

    TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW: (a) WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION; and (b) OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED the greater of AED 1,000 or the amounts you paid to us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations; in that case these limits apply to the fullest extent permitted.

  14. 14) Indemnity

    You will indemnify and hold the Company and its affiliates/partners harmless from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your unlawful use of the Service or breach of these Terms.

  15. 15) Communications

    By creating an account, you consent to receive transactional or administrative emails (e.g., verification, security alerts, service notices). You can opt out of non-essential marketing emails at any time via the unsubscribe link.

  16. 16) Governing Law & Venue

    These Terms are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah and the United Arab Emirates without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Courts located in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE have exclusive jurisdiction, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue there.

  17. 17) Changes to These Terms

    We may update these Terms. If changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice (e.g., by email or in-app notice). Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the changes.

Part B — Privacy Policy

1) Scope & Roles

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and secure personal data when you use Finbe. For the processing described here, System Elements FZ-LLC is the data controller.

2) What We Collect

  • Account Data. Email address, hashed & salted password, and basic settings/preferences.
  • Finance Data You Enter. Transactions, accounts, categories/tags, budgets, notes, attachments you upload, and other information you choose to store. This information is private to you unless you choose to share it.
  • Device/Usage Data. Log data (e.g., IP address, browser type/version, pages viewed, timestamps), diagnostic data, performance metrics, and cookie/SDK identifiers.
  • Support & Communications. Messages you send us (e.g., support requests, feedback), and our correspondence with you.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive identifiers (e.g., government IDs) unless you provide them voluntarily in support communications.

3) How We Use Data (Purposes & Legal Bases)

We process data to:

  • Provide the Service (create and manage your account; store and display your finance data; backups; troubleshooting). (Contract performance)
  • Secure and maintain the Service (monitoring, preventing abuse, resolving incidents, auditing). (Legitimate interests / Legal obligations)
  • Communicate with you about the Service, including changes and security alerts; respond to support requests. (Contract / Legitimate interests / Legal obligations)
  • Improve the Service, features, and usability (including aggregated or de-identified analytics). (Legitimate interests)
  • Comply with laws, legal processes, and enforce our terms. (Legal obligations / Legitimate interests)
  • Marketing (optional): send product news and promotions. (Consent where required; you may withdraw at any time)

We do not sell personal data.

4) Cookies & Similar Technologies

We use strictly necessary cookies to operate the Service (e.g., session and security). We may also use measurement/analytics cookies to understand usage and improve performance. You can control cookies via your browser settings; disabling some cookies may impair the Service. Do-Not-Track signals are not acted upon due to industry inconsistency.

5) Sharing & Disclosures

We do not share your personal finance data with third parties for their independent marketing. We may disclose data to:

  • Service providers/processors (e.g., cloud hosting, email delivery, logging/monitoring, analytics) bound by contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
  • Legal/Compliance recipients where required by law, subpoena, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and integrity of the Service.
  • Business transfers (e.g., merger, acquisition, or asset sale). We will continue to protect your data and notify you of any material changes.

6) International Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than yours. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards (e.g., contractual clauses) to protect personal data transferred internationally.

7) Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption in transit, restricted access, auditing, and hashed & salted passwords. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

8) Data Retention & Deletion

We retain personal data while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service.

  • When you request account deletion, we delete or irreversibly anonymize active copies of your personal data within 30 days, subject to legal/operational retention needs.
  • Backups rotate and are typically overwritten within up to 90 days after deletion.
  • Basic system logs are retained for up to 12 months unless a longer period is required for security, legal, or audit purposes.

9) Your Rights

Your rights may include access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability. Where we process based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time. You may exercise rights by emailing info@finbe.net. We will verify your request and respond within applicable timelines.

EEA/UK/Switzerland. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

United Arab Emirates (UAE PDPL). You may request access, correction, deletion, and to restrict or object to processing in accordance with applicable UAE laws.

California (CPRA). California residents may request access/knowledge, correction, and deletion. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes other than those permitted by law. You may use an authorized agent to submit requests.

10) Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

11) Data Access, Portability, & Export

You can request a copy or export of your data by contacting info@finbe.net or through any available export feature. Exports will be in a common, machine-readable format.

12) Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. If material changes occur, we will notify you via email or in-app notice. Your continued use after changes become effective indicates acceptance.
